Nina just does it for me! And Russ? Let’s go ahead and cast Omari Hardwick or Morris Chestnut cause that’s who I pictured in my head during my reads. Yes, I read this one twice! It was too good for it to be over.
Nina’s dating philosophy is definitely one I embraced in my twenties. Enjoying the company of men can be done without assuming or even assigning potential for the relationship to become more. I love that Nina was hopeful but only ever dealt in reality— if a man wasn’t a fit for her then he wasn’t getting promoted. That’s my kind of woman! Watching her fall in love and the journey to them getting (and staying together) was incredible but more than anything I just enjoyed NINA. I loved her confidence, her courage, and her unrelenting determination to be no one but herself. I left this book inspired and excited 😆 for book three!

Author, Danielle Allen and I at her release party for book 3!
