Curvy Girl Summer

This book sucked me in from page one 🤭 (when you open it you’ll catch what I did there cause baaaabbyyy) Danielle Allen is that girl!

I love how Danielle explored dating as a fat + Black woman. What it feels like, what we (yes we, I’ve been almost 300 lbs before) experience, and the truth of it all— no matter what you look like, you deserve a good love too! No matter if you’re super short, a tall girl, a brown girl, or an Asian one— we all should get to enjoy the journey to finding the one. In this book, Aaliyah jumps back into dating headfirst by joining a dating app in attempt to make a deadline she’s set for herself. We get to go on the journey with her and baaaabbyyy it’s interesting. The men were NOT men-ing the way we needed them to man! As we experience her dating ups and down, we’re simultaneously watching her fall in love (and she doesn’t even realize it) and it’s fun!

This book was a 10/10 for me. Immediately downloaded book two which quickly became my favorite in the series so far.

Book 3 just dropped last week and I got to meet Danielle in person for the release party! I can’t wait to dive into it and I’ll be back with my review. Stay tuned!
